Memorial students recognized in Paper Gardens writing contest

Congratulations to the eight Memorial students who have won recognition in the annual Paper Gardens Creative Writing Contest. 

The students will have their works published in the 2016 Paper Gardens Chapbook and will receive a copy of the book at the awards celebration.  All winning authors are invited to share their winning piece at the celebration on Thursday, May 5, at the McMinnville Community Center at 7 p.m.

Children’s Prose - Short Stories

In its 23rd year, the Paper Gardens Creative Writing Contest is sponsored by the Arts Alliance of Yamhill County.  The contest features six categories in three age groups: children (ages 6 – 1Second place, youth (ages 13 – 17) and adult (18+).
